Reaching Out

Kids’ Hope

Kids’ Hope is a ministry that partners with Kids’ Hope Australia and Kin Kora State School. Kids’ Hope builds caring relationships … one child, one hour, one church, one school. Our Kids’ Hope Mentors are carefully selected with the goal of caring for kids who need a little support. We help to meet emotional, social and academic needs of children by giving them one-to-one relationships with a mentor from our church.

SCFS

SCFS (Seamen’s Christian Friend Society) is an interdenominational mission that ministers to seafarers that visit the Port of Gladstone.  We have a team who have the appropriate training and clearances to visit ships while in port. Seafarers are from diverse ethnic and cultural backgrounds and are often lonely and isolated.  Ship visitors seek to support them and share the good news about Jesus.

Please contact the church office if you would like to be involved.

Red Frogs

Red Frogs is a support program for young people that provides direct relief from alcohol and drug related issues that are known to cause anxiety, pain, poverty, sickness, suffering, distress, misfortune, disability, destitution, helplessness.  Red Frogs recognises that the culture of young people is dominated by alcohol and that excessive consumption of alcohol and other substances can lead to dangerous and life-altering behaviors’ and circumstances.

Red Frogs Gladstone is committed to continuing the great work of Red Frogs in our local area, you will often see Frogs at local music festivals and end of school celebrations.  To get in touch with the local crew hit up our facebook page.

Religious Instruction
