About Boys Brigade

Our Company is part of ‘The Boys Brigade’, the oldest uniformed youth organisation in the world. The Boys brigade began in Scotland in 1883, while our company in Gladstone began in 2000.

We run programs aimed to develop Boys and young Men in all areas of their lives (physically, educationally, socially and spiritually). We meet every week during school terms as well as having camps and outings.

Our BB Company is overseen by the Gladstone Baptist Church. We do not require Boys or their Families to have a Christian faith to be involved in BB but due to our belief that all areas of life are interrelated and because our leaders are Christians there will be an underlying spiritual basis to our approach.

To ensure the safety of all involved in BB, all our leaders are screened and required by BB Australia and Gladstone Baptist Church to take part in appropriate training.

We are proud of our uniform at BB and encourage all Boys to own one. Uniform orders are taken up to the third week in the term when they are then sent through to head office.

For the enjoyment of all at BB we require that all Boys abide by our ‘code of conduct’.

Your boys are signed in and out each night.
