Girls’ Brigade is part of an international Christian youth organisation which supports the family, serves in the community and meets the needs of girls today operating through local churches.

To help girls to become followers of the Lord Jesus Christ and through self-control, reverence and a sense of responsibility to find true enrichment of life.

Age Groups
Girls’ Brigade caters for Girls from Prep to the age of 21 years working in four units related to school grade.
Cadets (Prep to 2)
Juniors (Gr. 3 to 6)
Seniors (Gr. 7 & 8)
Pioneers (Gr. 9 to 21 yrs)
Our Company
Our Company meets on Tuesday evenings at the Gladstone Baptist Church from 5.30pm to 7.15pm (during school terms). We do a wide variety of activities including: devotions, games, singing, craft, cooking, camps, theme nights, outings and heaps more. We cover aspects of physical, social, educational and spiritual education. We normally have around 30 girls attend each night and they range in age from 5 to 18 years of age. We encourage leadership, responsibility and focus on helping others, all while having a blast!

Operation Reachout Sleepover
Float in the Gladstone Harbour Festival Parade (in combination with other GBC children’s ministry groups)
Anzac Day March
PLT (Pioneer Leadership Training) in Wide Bay and Brisbane (grades 9+)
Awoonga Dam Day (canoeing, craft, games and food)
Superhero Night
Leadership training (grades 9+)
Seniors Weekend (grades 7 & 8)
Bucca Camp (incl waterslide) (grades 3+)
